5 Days Maasai Mara Kenya Safari

NAIROBI / LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

The safari departs Nairobi in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint to take the most eye catching view of the Escarpment. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK / MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Depart Lake Nakuru after an early breakfast and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of such features as Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha and Mt Longonot and Suswa, all of which are in the Great Rift Valley. Here you will spend (2) nights in Maasai Mara on a full board basis. Famed for its wildebeest migration during July – Oct, the Maasai Mara promises to be the highlight of a Kenyan safari. With vast open spaces, abundant game and breathtaking sunsets. Dinner at Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Spend the entire 2 days in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). You can opt to go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend most of the day in the park coming back to the lodge late afternoon and go for early morning and afternoon game drives. There will be optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE /NAIROBI / OUT

Pre breakfast morning game drive, after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon. Depending on your flight timing you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
