NAIROBI / AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Depart from Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive south to Amboseli National Park through Maasai country to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. Check in at Kibo Safari Camp. Amboseli means ‘the place of water’ in Maasai language. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Animal species seen include elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen here includes pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle and pygmy falcon. Amboseli is one of the most popular parks in Kenya a home of massive African Jumbos and the rooftop of Africa Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon proceed into the scenic Amboseli National Park for a game drive returning Kibo Safari for dinner and overnight.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Spend the entire day in Amboseli, with an early morning pre-breakfast game drives when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the camp for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK / MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK

Depart Amboseli after an early morning breakfast and drive to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya arriving at Serena Mountain Lodge. Located on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the lodge is surrounded by a dense rain forest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that makes the African bush so special and exhilarating. Considered the most spectacular forest water hole in the Aberdares, the lodge’s waterhole presents a constant ballet of wildlife. The lodge has 42 attractive bedrooms furnished with indigenous wood and African art, each with private bathroom. A spacious verandah also overlooks the waterhole for game viewing there is never a dull moment. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day). Dinner and overnight at the Serena Mountain Lodge.

MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK / SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Depart from Mt Kenya after breakfast and head to Samburu National Reserve driving through the rugged wildreness. Arrive on time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge and relax getting ready for your first afternoon game drive. Samburu National Reserve offers distinctive vistas of rugged hills and undulating hills. The mix of grassland and wood with a swamp and a riverine forest makes the reserve home to a variety of animal and birdlife. Game viewing in the reserve is excellent due to its visibility. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe (Only found in the north of equator). Optional activities include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE / OLPAJETA WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY

Enjoy an early morning prebreakfast game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. Depart Samburu National Reserve after breakfast and drive to the lower slopes of Mount Kenya. Proceed to Laikipia Plans and into Ol Pajeta Wildlife Conservancy. Check in and have lunch at Sweewaters Serena Canmp. On arrival, you will check in at your camp and have lunch. Afternoon at leisure, you will have an evening game drive until sunset from 1600hrs. During the game drives you will visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. You will also visit Morani the tame rhino and the Visitors Information Centre. Return to Sweet Waters Serena Camp for dinner and overnight (with an optional night game drives)

SWEETWATERS GAME RESERVE / LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Depart Sweetwaters after an early morning breakfast and drive to the floor of The Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls proceed arriving in a tented camp or lodge in time for lunch. Seasonally up to a million flamingos reside along the lake shore giving the lake a pink hue. The view of so many birds is very rewarding and appears almost unreal. The hills surrounding the lake give an almost perfect silhouette and are home to lions, leopards, cheetahs and buffalos. This Park is also a sanctuary for both the black and the white rhino – it is relatively small in size so it makes it easier to spot all these animals. Also found in the park is the rare Rothschild giraffe, waterbucks and Burchell’s zebra. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or tented camp.

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK / MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Depart Lake Nakuru after an early breakfast and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of such features as Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha and Mt Longonot and Suswa, all of which are in the Great Rift Valley. Here you will spend (2) nights in Maasai Mara on a full board basis. Famed for its wildebeest migration during July – Oct, the Maasai Mara promises to be the highlight of a Kenyan safari. With vast open spaces, abundant game and breathtaking sunsets. Dinner at Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Spend the entire day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). You can opt to go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend most of the day in the park coming back to the lodge late afternoon, or you can have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, and another one late afternoon. There will also be an optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE / NAIROBI / OUT

Enjoy a pre-morning game drive and return to the camp for a hot breakfast. Depart Maasai Mara Game Reserve after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon. Depending on the time of your departure, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your outbound flight.
