Depart from Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive south to Amboseli National Park through Maasai country to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. Check in at Kibo Safari Camp. Amboseli means ‘the place of water’ in Maasai language. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Animal species seen include elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen here includes pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle and pygmy falcon. Amboseli is one of the most popular parks in Kenya a home of massive African Jumbos and the rooftop of Africa Mt Kilimanjaro. Afternoon proceed into the scenic Amboseli National Park for a game drive returning Kibo Safari Camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend the entire day in Amboseli, with an early morning pre-breakfast game drives when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the camp for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.

Early morning game drives return to the camp for breakfast, after breakfast leave Amboseli for Tsavo West Game en-route with a visit to Mzima Springs where you can see hippos and fish in a crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys. West Visit Mzima Springs. Mzima Springs are clear pools that are a favorite hangout for hippos and crocodiles. The main attraction here is a submerged viewing tank which was designed so that people could watch the hippo’s antics underwater, but since it was built the hippos have retreated shyly to the other side of the pool. The good news is that you get a great view of the fish. The underground water that feeds the pools filters up through the volcanic rock of the Chyulu Hills and it is linked by pipeline to Mombasa, supplying most of the town’s water. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.

We depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Tsavo East National Park. Game is viewed as we exit the park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Ashnil Aruba lodge. This park was famed for its large herds of elephant covered in red dust and fine scenery. We visit the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks (attracts elephants in the drier season), and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay is at Ashnil Aruba.

Enjoy an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, return to the lodge for a hot breakfast. Depart Tsavo for Nairobi arriving late in the evening. Depending on the time of your departure, you will be dropped at JomoKenyatta International Airport.
