NAIROBI /MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Depart from Nairobi in the mid-morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint to take the most eye catching view of the Escarpment and proceed to Kenya’s premier wildlife park – the Maasai Mara home to the residents of the BBC’s Big Cat diary arriving in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch at Ashnil Mara Camp. These vast plains provide incredible game viewing for this Kenya safari. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ashnil Mara Camp.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Spend the entire day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. You can opt to go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend most of the day in the park coming back to the lodge late afternoon, or you will have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, and another one late afternoon. There will also be an optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE / LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Depart Maasai Mara Game Reserve after an early breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park as you enjoy the scenic views of such features as Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha and Mt Longonot and Suswa, all of which are in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp.

LAKE NAKURU / SWEEWATERS GAME RESERVE

Rise up early for a morning game drive in this beautiful park. Return to the camp for breakfast at 0930hrs, check out and leave Lake Nakuru for Ol Pejeta conservancy situated on the slopes of Mt. Kenya and Aberdares Ranges. Arrive on time for lunch at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp and relax after lunch. Leave the camp at 1600hrs for a 2 hours and a half game drive where you will explore this private conservancy with a visit to the only chimpanzee’s sanctuary in Kenya. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight. If you are interested in a night game drive it can be arranged for you at an exra cost.

SWEETWATERS GAME RESERVE / NAIROBI / OUT

Rise up at first light have a cup of coffee and leave the camp for a morning game drive. Situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares Ranges and the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of wildlife, including all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). Return to the camp for breakfast and later checkout and drive to Nairobi where you will be dropped at the airport.
